Steve + Bucky – Stucky – Future/Space AU – Moondust

UPDATE: So it only took 2 days for me to finish the Cherik video so back to my other projects!

This one took much fiddling. I have an idea for a Cherik video, so this will be my last Stucky for a little while. I need to realize this other video. My brain is on fire with the idea.


Summary:
Steve and Bucky are both astronauts, who meet on their first space mission. They fall in love, and when they return home, they reveal their relationship to the crew. A few years down the road, the sun is dieing, so they send a team to drop a payload, ie nuclear bomb, on the sun, to create a star within a star. Steve is chosen for the mission, Bucky isn't. Steve accepts, because he's the ultimate good guy, but before he can tell him, Bucky finds out by watching the news and is pissed. They part on very bad terms. Steve tells Bucky that he will miss him and that he loves him and Bucky ignores him. 16 months into the mission there is a brief window where the solar winds will be low enough that Steve has one chance to send a message back but another guy takes too long, and he doesn't get to send a message to Bucky. Bucky waits for a message but it never comes, and he's left to wonder, until he wakes up one morning, and it's really sunny. Now he knows. The mission was successful, and Steve is gone forever.
