Wolf Den East and West is Now OPEN! | Hobbs State Park | Rogers, Arkansas

Wolf Den East and Wolf Den West make up a Loop just north of State Hwy 12 within Hobbs State Park and is part of the Monument Trail System east of Rogers Arkansas.

Wolf Den along with all the trails at Hobbs State Park was tormented by the 2024 Tornado and Straight-Line Winds that ravaged the forest toppling thousands of trees onto the trails.

The Wolf Den Loop can be entered from two locations. Most think of the Tunnel Connector Trail from the Hobbs State Park Information Center that brings you through a tunnel under Hwy 12 at the top. The locals more often enter Wolf Den from the bottom on the dirt road just off of Rambo Road where Wolf Den Connects with Karst Trail.

NOTE: I noticed the camera was pointing down on the descent! Argh! If that bugs y’all I will reshoot the descent. I’m heading back today to redo TimberJack as I was not happy with the results.

I prefer the trailhead off of Rambo Road.

I recommend climbing Wolf Den East and descending Wolf Den West, you get more bang for your buck! Plus, you can do a figure 8 if you do Karst first then cross the dirt road and go clockwise on Wolf Den back to your vehicle.

As always, I record from beginning to end of every trail as a "Trailumentary". You can always fast forward through the boring stuff!

Wolf Den is probably not a destination trail but it is the connector from the Information Center Parking lot to Karst Trail, and a perfect one at that!
