Many people get stuck in the game of convincing others to need them for all sorts of reasons. Sometimes the reasons are emotional, sometimes the reasons have to do with survival, but in the end, needing someone to need you, will not lead to freedom from that need. Not to mention, if you are stuck in need, you are in the mind, which is incapable of really enjoying another being for its essence.
