Illegal Cattle Smuggling Vehicle Seized in Jajpur | 8 Rescued

Once again, an illegal cattle smuggling vehicle has been seized in Jajpur district. Early this morning, a pickup van illegally transporting cattle was intercepted near Temple Gate, Kaliapani.

According to sources, the cattle-laden pickup met with an accident near a roadside tea stall at Kaliapani Chhak, after which it got stuck. With the help of local youth organisations, 8 cattle were rescued in critical condition, while one cow died due to injuries.

After being informed, Kaliapani Police reached the spot and have started an investigation into the incident. Further legal action is underway to identify those involved in the illegal cattle trafficking.
