Medications can have powerful effects on the body. If a person is taking more than one type of medication, the situation becomes complicated. Doctors balance the effects, side-effects, and interactions of medications, so be sure to take medication strictly as directed. If you are worried about any side-effects of the medication please talk to your doctor straight away.
Webster packs and dosette boxe can be used to help you remember when to take medication. And you can easily see whether or not the pills have been taken.
Keep a diary of any medications that are taken as extra, outside of the usual regime. For example, sometimes medication may be prescribed to be taken as needed (it may be written as “prn medication”) – such as extra medication that is used to reduce pain or nausea. Write down the date and time, the type of medication given, how much medication was given, and why the medication was needed.
