Former Penobscot Indian Nation Chief Barry Dana and Penobscot guide John Neptune are building a 14-foot traditional birch bark wigwam and birch bark longhouse on Sugar Island that will be used for an eco-tourism project and as a place to pass on the tribe’s culture to the next generation.
