HOW to LAYOUT your BUS LINES in Cities: Skylines 2

In this Cities: Skylines 2 video I will be showing my personal best ways to layout your bus lines, having a good running bus system / public transport system can reduce / fix traffic and can make a lot of money.

To start we look at bus lines in a small town or city. The best way to lay you lines out in this size city is to have one bus line looping around everything, if you have a separate industrial area then I recommend having a bus line running out to that and back and a looping line going in around the industry area, all using bus lanes where possible, especially on busy roads.

For a medium city you still won't need a bus station, your best of having looping bus lines around each major district and again a line running out to any separate areas like industrial or office areas. Make sure you have connecting stations so that citizens can easily jump off one bus and onto the next bus.

For large cities I usually have two different ways I layout my bus lines. I choose between the two depending on how I've set out my city and which bus layout I think will suit it / work best.

The first is to have one central bus station that has direct lines running out to each major district and back with looping lines around each major district.

The second is for each major district to have its own bus station and for every bus station to have a line running to all the other districts / bus stations, and again for each district to have its own looping bus line.

If you are worried about the high upkeep / maintenance costs for having too many bus stations then don't be afraid to create your own custom bus station, this will save you a good bit of money, there's no real difference other than the building and you can really create something awesome and unique for each district.
