The Third South African Composers' Award 2025

Composition is alive and well in South Africa; that is evident from the number of excellent entries – 21 – received for this competition. The composers’ competition is part of the vision of the CPO to be a provide a platform and performance opportunities for young composers and musicians. The third SA Composers’ Competition, which was launched in 2022/23 for young composers not older than 35 to develop skills and recognise talent in the local creative music industry.
