MIT undergraduate student Rohan Bosworth says, “it’s a very exciting time to be in robotics because we’re really seeing the boom of all these new and crazy technologies.” He believes the current progress we’re seeing will bring a future of widespread, integrated robotics ever closer to reality. Working toward that future inside CSAIL’s Robot Locomotion Group with professor Russ Tedrake, Bosworth is approaching clutter-clearing problems using a combination of Graphs of Convex Sets (GCS) and learning-based techniques . By combining these methods, Bosworth hopes to overcome the challenges of each (respectively, the need for processing time and the need for human demonstration data) and do his part to make robotics part of our daily lives.
