Open for the 10pm newscast from the CBS affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma, owned by Griffin Media. Recorded Saturday, September 14, 2024.
This is the first newscast with the station debuting a new graphics package. The word is that these were produced by Vivid Zero, the same design firm that did the ABC O&O look, Good Morning America, and WINK News. This firm is owned by consultancy SmithGeiger. This look is a major upgrade from the previous in-house look.
KWTV got the same exact package but also a new set. I imagine at some point, Tulsa will probably get a carbon copy of the new Oklahoma City studio as the current set is showing its age (12 years old and the design is almost 20). Music is still CBS Enforcer and Doc Morgan is still the longtime voiceover artist.
