Driving in Germany: Autobahn A46 & A43 from Wuppertal to AK Recklinghausen

In this video you can drive along on Autobahn A46 and A43 from Wuppertal to Autobahnkreuz Recklinghausen in the German Ruhr area. Both these Autobahns are local highways connecting cities within the Ruhrgebiet and its surrounding area.

A46 runs from near the border with the Netherlands to Wuppertal where it eventually merges into the A1. The A43 runs from Wuppertal to near Münster, North of the Ruhrgebiet. The Ruhrgebiet is one of the most densely populated areas of Western Europe with a lot of large industrially important cities being close together.

Wuppertal has nearly 250.000 inhabitants and Recklinghausen has over 100.000 inhabitants. Wuppertal is well-known for having an actual monorail (hanging) for public transport. It's a city with a rich industrial heritage. It's situated in the valley of the Wupper, hence its name.
