Streamers are the largest flies in the shop and imitate large food species in the water such as young trout, minnows, leeches, crayfish, and panfish. Streamers are tied in a number of styles and with many different materials but share in common the excess fur and feathers that “Stream” and swim behind the hook when they are retrieved through the water. In this video we break down the different types of streamers you will find in the shop, the key materials used to tie each, and then show you how each type of streamer moves and swims through the water using our flow tank.
