A few miles from the centre of Madrid on the cities Metro System, we alighted at the station of Santa Eugenia near Vallecas. This line goes onto Zaragoza. Plenty of frequent Metro services were seen and several long freight trains in the hands of classes 250, 251, 269 and 333 heading towards Vallecas and away from. The weather then started to deteriate after all the 7 days we had of wall to wall sunshine in Portugal. I do hope this video entertains and evokes old fond memories of the European Railway Scene of the era.
