This was a fun one. I heard 6706 would be leading the evening Z through Kansas on June 27th, so I made plans on a whim to meet up with @cxmx3295 in Herington to catch it. We grabbed it once just west of the yard and then a second time crossing the old Rock Island bridge over K-4 at the north end of the yard as it was departing from a crew change. Really neat to see this thing leading again as I absolutely love the CNW and I’ve been wanting to get another shot of it on point ever since I got my new camera back in December. Lighting was suboptimal for the first shot, but I don’t know if I’ll ever have the chance to see 6706 leading ever again, so it was still worth it!
