This and the flip side “She’s ‘Way Up Thar/Broadway’s Gone Hill-Billy” ( • 1934 Frank Luther (ARC Studio Orch.) - She... ) are songs from the Fox comedy-musical “Stand Up and Cheer!” which starred Warner Baxter and Madge Evans but is now best-remembered as the breakthrough vehicle for young Shirley Temple.
Singer Luther was given top-billing on this release by the ARC studio orchestra (possibly conducted by Russ Morgan) and is joined on the vocal by Zora Layman (Frank’s wife) and Leonard Stokes.
Transferred from 78rpm Perfect 15920 (also issued on other ARC labels) - I’m Laughin’ (Brown-Gorney) by Frank Luther & his Orchestra, vocal by The Frank Luther Trio, recorded in NYC March 30, 1934 .
