Evan met Arturo at a concert in Boston last fall, and as Arturo had seen some of our videos online, the conversation quickly moved to the topic of collaboration. Arturo said he had an idea of doing a standard ballad with just trumpet and vocals--maybe "Gershwin or something." After some deliberation among the group, James suggested "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye," a Cole Porter song written in 1944. It's not Gershwin but it seemed to fit the concept perfectly. There have been many renditions of this song over the years, but we hope you find ours to be special!
