Hi all, I upgraded my old shop vacuum cleaner and added a 3D Printed Dust separator/cyclone/dust deputy, to increase efficiency and save the filter. The Cyclone was printed on my K1C in Standard PLA. File available on Printables.
I then built a mobile cart where the shopvac, cyclone and dust bucket is kept. Its mobile so I can move it around the shop where needed.
I then watched a video by Zack over on bit sized engineering channel, (link below), where he built a smart or auto switch from an Arduino Nano and some electronic parts. In his design the sketch was made to have the shopvac turn on when the connected power tool is switch on, to turn the shopvac off 5 seconds after the tool is power off. This is great idea and addition to any woodshop. I use mine on all my hand held power tools, like sanders and track saws. Very simple and easy to build.

Parts I used:
Arduino Nano
ACS712 Current sensor(30Amp)
Single channel 5VDc relay
Old 5VDc cell phone charger
SA Type wall socket- NOTE- I had to split the neutral connection in the socket to have 2 separate neutral terminals, one for each socket/plug.
