Like many people, I suffer from chronic depression among other issues. With that said, I try to use the downturns constructively when I feel I can. If I have an extreme low I try to take those negative feelings and turn them towards something creative. That's how this remix came to be.
Tourniquet is a poignant song and perhaps concerning to those who know me, but I chose it specifically because it's a song I've always thought was beautiful and the history of its writing was interesting to me since it was inspired by the Catholic Church's views on suicide and whether or not the Catholic God forgives those who end their own lives.
I realize the subject matter may be a bit morbid, and even disturbing to some, but I hope anyone who listens can at least appreciate the beauty of the song, the instrumentation I created, and Amy Lee's amazing voice.
