I don’t think you should use tags to segment your email list. There’s a better way. In this video, I cover why I think almost all tagging should be done with custom fields, and provide plenty of real world examples for why tagging (which is how most people segment!) should be only used in very specialized cases.
(And don’t worry, you’re not going to get to the end of this video and think “OMG I need to change *everything*!!!” – my goal is to help you refine the way you segment over time.)
