It was a long goodbye as I left Bellamy at the Prince of Wales Bay Marina in Hobart, to head home for Christmas. If Dani had been with me, she would have told me to just rip the band aid off and walk away! I boarded the Spirit of Tasmania in Devonport and had a smooth night-sailing to Geelong, a trip I absolutely love doing. (I was able to do the Sydney-Melbourne return trip while it was running.)
I woke up to the ship-board announcement... to wake up! Then went on deck to watch the berthing at Geelong. Disembarking was a straightforward process and my drive to Eden was uneventful. It's been a while since my last visit to Eden, but it was a long drive, so I checked in to a motel and caught up on some editing. Early the next morning, I had a good look around the Port of Eden, then pointed the freedom machine north and really enjoyed the drive up the south coast of NSW.
I would like to say thanks to family and friends and those who have joined me, Dani and Heather, for your support and encouragement on our travels. There's a heap more to come! See you soon.
