Where We Find Ourselves by Andrew Amondson

La prima stanza di Playlab è un bosco di quinte e sagome che ricordano alberi con chiome di foglie in equilibrio tra nidi dove dondolare e nascondersi, un paesaggio sonoro fatto di canti di uccellini, rumori e fruscii del bosco che circondano e invitano a prendere tempo e ad ascoltare. Qui, il tatto e l’udito fanno da guida per la scoperta degli stimoli: un insieme di sculture e oggetti di design, creati dalla volontà di conoscere, maneggiare e interpretare le proprietà dei materiali dando vita a cose nuove unendo diverse discipline. La stanza accoglie Where We Find Ourselves, un’installazione, risultato della collaborazione con l’artista e film-maker statunitense Andrew Amondson, e i Nidi di Andrea Salvetti.

In the first room of Playlab, silhouettes resembling trees with leafy canopies, and large nests invite children to pause and listen to the sound of Nature: birdsong, forest rustles and rain. Here, hands and ears guide the discovery, with sculptures and design objects crafted to help explore the properties of materials through a multidisciplinary approach.
The room features Where We Find Ourselves, an installation created in collaboration with Berlin-based American artist and filmmaker Andrew Amondson, and Nests by Andrea Salvetti.
