In our first MoveAbout Unplugged for 2023, Dave Jereb, senior occupational therapist and owner of MoveAbout Therapy Services, discusses the STEPPSI with Tracy Stackhouse and Julia Wilbarger, two of the STEPPSI Tool for Effective Clinical Reasoning creators. This introductory webinar introduces the clinical reasoning tool that Tracy Stackhouse and Dave Jereb teach in the new and updated STEPPSI course, which is launching in May, 2023, and registrations are now open. In this webinar they discuss the aspects of the STEPPSI, including:

Play and Playfulness

They also discuss the concepts of 'just right challenge' and adaptive response, as well as the need to move beyond an approach to regulation that focuses on over- and under- concepts and simplistic models.
They discuss how the clinical reason tool was developed, how it helped their own reasoning and the clinical reasoning of the OT's they support. They provide information about how this tool and training is beneficial to early years OT's and also to experienced OT's.
