How to Make Banana Pudding Cake - I Heart Recipes

Hi fam! Since many of you requested it, here is my recipe for Banana Pudding Cake!

Banana pudding is a favorite in my family. I’m always making it for holidays or special occasions. I decided to take it up a notch and make a banana pudding cake. This recipe is semi homemade, but no one will be able to tell the difference!

Using a boxed cake mix makes things a little simpler, but instead of water use milk. This will make your cake nice and moist. Once your batter is mixed well, fold in chopped bananas. Pour into two cake pans and bake until done. While the cakes cool, whip up the buttercream frosting. It’s super easy. All it takes is butter, confectioners sugar, milk and vanilla. Once the cake is frosted, garnish with vanilla wafers. Boom! In no time, you’ll have a sweet treat that’s pretty, too!

0:24 - Add the cake mix to a large mixing bowl.
0:33 - Whisk the cake mix to remove clumps.
0:38 - Pour the milk into the mixing bowl.
0:45 - Pour in the vegetable oil.
0:52 - Start mixing.
0:53 - Slowly add in the eggs.
1:05 - Chop the bananas.
1:20 - Add the bananas to the cake batter.
1:28 - Fold in the bananas.
1:37 - Pour the cake batter into prepared cake pans.
1:50 - Bake until cooked through.
2:12 - Make the vanilla buttercream frosting.
2:26 - Frost the first cake.
2:35 - Assemble the cakes.
2:46 - Finish frosting the cake.
3:03 - Decorate with vanilla wafers.
3:23 - Decorate with the remaining frosting.
3:40 - Slice and serve!
