Lightning Boy Audio presents the NuVision instrument preamp pedal. The NuVision was designed as a warm tonal enhancement tool for electric guitar and bass. Basically, its a high voltage nuvistor vacuum tube powered instrument preamp/overdrive FX pedal with passive EQ. Nuvistors are the smallest vacuum tubes ever made and they're more efficient than the much larger 12AX7. This pedal is powered by 9V DC @ 300mA and then boosts it internally to around 200 volts DC for massive headroom and dynamics - in a pedal! Warm gain and a very smooth passive equalizer are the hallmarks of this original all-tube Lightning Boy design. The EQ section works much like a Pultec EQ in that you can boost and cut in the same frequency range at the same time, creating interesting curves which can help focus your sound. This is a limited edition production since Nuvistors have not been manufactured for a long time. Lightning Boy Audio has a stock pile of NOS Nuvistor tubes specifically for producing this stomp box.
