AmaZulu Traditional Prime Minister Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi has been removed from his position with immediate effect.
Buthelezi assumed the role at the beginning of this year.
A statement signed by King MisuZulu ka Zwelithini has called on the AmaZulu to unite in support of the process of appointing a successor.
Earlier this year, the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal reiterated its position that it did not recognize the position oaf AmaZulu Traditional Prime Minister held by Buthelezi.
