For our ten year wedding anniversary, we visited @poronuinz Poronui lodge on New Zealand’s North Island. We booked an early season week in November when the fish were fresh, hot and ready to take. Early season also typically means fewer anglers and prolific hatches, so we were pretty excited to get on the water.
Poronui has an interesting history, which I’ll discuss in my next vlog, but aside from its story, it’s also central to some of the country’s best trout dry fly fishing.
