Here is a quick walk around of my latest creation, FF007. The car is built by hand with a mild steel tube frame chassis utilizing a 1963 period mid engine Okrasa Dual Port setup. I used a Volkswagen Linkpin front beam with height adjusters and 4 speed vw swing axle with ring and pinion flipped to run midship. I build a custom torsion housing with height adjusters along with height adjustable custom drilled spring plates. The car has Bilstein shocks, disc brakes and my custom drilled "Smoothies" 5x205 wheels. The inner paneling is all .060 Aluminum.
I build all interior components and finish in leather and Fender vintage guitar amp Tweed. The trim is hand hammer formed polished aluminum. I hammer form typically over a chunk of railroad track and other heavy steel shaping pieces.
The body is .060 3003 Aluminum and all hammer formed and wheeled to finish on my MetalAce Imperial 44 English wheel.
This is my first time building a coupe. The Gullwing door hinge and opening design was tricky to say the least. I don't use computers or any digital design assistance. Everything is built by eye and hand, the old fashion way.
