This Part 1 of 2 videos demonstrates how to make a clock out of a Vinyl 12” Record. I used Stone Coat Countertop Art Coat Resin mixed with Mica Powder, Luster Pigment Powder, and epoxy Pigment Paste to create a beautiful vibrant piece wall art.
First I coated the record with a layer of gesso. After it was dried I lightly sanded with 220 grit sandpaper and then applied one coat of white spray paint to each side.
I purchased the Vinyl Record from the Thrift Store. Check out your local Thrift Store as they usually have a large amount of records available very reasonable.
Supplies:
Mad Oils Harold Purple Crayon Mica Powder
Jacquard Pearl Ex Macropearl
Arte Rezin Pink Mink Luster Pigment
Colour Obsessions Blackcurrent Pigment Paste
Stone Coat Countertop Art Coat (2 oz)
Remember to stay tuned for Part 2 Adding Clock Elements.
