18009 Santragachi - Ajmer Weekly Exp | Journey From Muri to Kota

In today's train journey, we travel on the 18009 Santragachi (Kolkata) to Ajmer Weekly Express from Muri to Kota Junction stations.

This train was introduced on 5th August 2022 with an ICF CBC Rake. This has rake sharing with 22825/26 Shalimar-MGR Chennai Central Exp & 22829/30 Bhuj-Shalimar Express trains.

In this journey, we will travel almost 1302 KMs in almost 26.38 Hrs from with an average speed of 50 KMPH.MPS on this train is 110 KMPH in eligible sections.

This video covers the very less explored part of eastern & northwestern Jharkhand, entering Uttar Pradesh briefly then entering Madhya Pradesh from the east and traversing through the state to the North Western part.It enters Rajasthan from the south east and then terminates at Ajmer in Central Rajasthan.

To summarize, the run was good enough mostly running on time (before time in some stations, thanks to its slack timings) and reaching Kota 10 minutes before time.

But, please note carry your own food/eatables as the train offers a side pantry only and the food supplied is very bad in quality. Also, the food quality in en-route stations is also of very inferior quality. Except, Katni Murwara where the food is average.
