সত্যজিৎ রায়ের অত্যন্ত প্রিয় অভিনেতা কল্যাণ চট্টোপাধ্যায় প্রয়াত হলেন। বার্ধক্যজনিত অসুখে একাশি বছর বয়সে প্রয়াত হন তিনি। প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী, ধনী মেয়ে, সাগিনা মাহাতো, কহানি, সহ চারশো টিরও বেশি ছবিতে অভিনয়। মেগা সিরিয়াল থেকে ওয়েব সিরিজ। বড় থেকে ছোট পর্দা। তার দাপুটে অভিনয় দেখেছে সারা বাংলা। অথচ টলিউডের কোন অভিনেতা, অভিনেত্রী, পরিচালক,, প্রযোজক - কারোরই দেখা মেলেনি তার শেষযাত্রায়। অন্তিম সময়েও দেখা মেলেনি কারো। বিছানায় শুয়ে দীর্ঘ অপেক্ষায় থাকলেও স্টুডিও পাড়ার কারো একটি ফোনও পাননি তিনি। অনেক আক্ষেপ, অসহায়তা নিয়ে চলে গেলেন তপন সিনহা, অরবিন্দ মুখোপাধ্যায়, সত্যজিৎ রায়ের অন্যতম প্রিয় ও সফল অভিনেতা কল্যাণ চট্টোপাধ্যায়।

Kalyan Chatterjee, a favorite actor of Satyajit Ray, has passed away. He died at the age of eighty-one due to age-related illnesses. He acted in over four hundred films, including Pratidwandi, Dhani Meye, Sagina Mahato, and Kahaani, and also appeared in mega-serials and web series. From the big screen to the small screen, his powerful performances were witnessed by all of Bengal. Yet, not a single actor, actress, director, or producer from Tollywood was seen at his funeral. No one came to see him even in his final moments. Despite lying in bed for a long time, waiting, he did not receive a single phone call from anyone in the film industry. With much regret and helplessness, Kalyan Chatterjee, one of the most beloved and successful actors of Tapan Sinha, Arabinda Mukherjee, and Satyajit Ray, passed away.
