Blanket statements like this don't hold weight in an argument. For example, some of the best solo players that I know are in ball groups. Also, some of the worst players that I know are in ball groups. It varies.

"Ball Grps Require No Skill"
I can agree with you that having 50k health and spamming a few buttons, while being inundated with tremendous heals and simply using rushing agony... isn't hard at all. But you can't ignore that most competitive groups have nearly the same setups, and they don't all perform at the same level. The difference is the human element (e.g. situational awareness, response time, risk assessment, etc.), and that is skill.

The same logic can be applied to PVE trial groups; just like ball groups, you can give the same setups to multiple teams, but not all of them will perform at the same level. There is skill variation.

"Ball Grps Are Abusing Meta Sets"
Competitive players will always choose competitive, high-performing sets. You can't blame players for choosing what is literally on the shelf for them. And it's on the shelf because of ZOS, who is the real problem here.
