The first test of my Bixler 1.1 with a GoPro Hero3Black strapped to the first person view canopy.
The glider floated very well and flew predictably with the standard canopy provided (aerodynamic and almost weightless) but once the gopro was onboard, even with the CofG corrected by moving the battery... it flew like sh&t to begin with. It doesn't like the weight. It won't glide as well without carrying a bit of power from the prop.
Here you see a stall and, because I corrected the trim with as much power as possible before the inevitable grounding, there was no damage.
