Halasina hannina kadubu (Kannada), Pelata Gatti/gidde(Tulu), Ponsa Muddo(Konkani) is a sweet idli like dish made with Jackfruit. Check this simple recipe passed on from my mom. Its very commonly made during summer, when jackfruit is available. Authentically, in South Kanara these Idlis are steamed on Teak Tree leaves (Tekkida ere), which gives an amazing colour and flavour to them.
