Why Not RV: Episode 139 - Installing a 60 Amp DC-DC Charger in my Airstream. DC-DC Charging, aka Truck Charging, is the most efficient way to recharge your Battery Bank. You can start your truck and just at idle properly recharge your battery bank or charge while driving between destinations. Either way it can be done at any time in any weather condition and get efficient charging. The main components involved are as follows... Tow vehicle, Heavy Duty (properly sized) large gauge wire to an Anderson connector. On RV, Continued large gauge wire off of opposing Anderson Connector to the DC-DC Charger itself and a Fuse in-line on the positive side on both the truck and the output side of the charger.
