Over 150 community, amateur and professional performers came together to dance, drum and groove their socks off as part of the FLOCK parade at Festival of the Sky, Cleethorpes 8th September 2019
Musicians and dancers joined our ‘Funk It Up’ masterclass to learn new arrangements and choreographies. Three community groups worked with our expert Carnival artists to learn new Carnival dance and music. New portable technology, puppets and costume was developed in our studio by many, many volunteers supported by expert makers.
And groove was certainly in the heart.
Global Grooves delivers inspirational, jaw-dropping Carnival experiences through music, dance and visual arts and are based in North’s only Carnival Centre of Excellence. Artist-led and ambitious, we work both in the UK and internationally bringing together world-class artists with young people, communities and organisations across the globe to create the most extraordinary opportunities, moments and memories.
