One of the most common problems for gifted kids is: How to translate all this awesome stuff I've got in my head into the 'real' world? One of the major factors in making this work is the development of your "Executive functions". The cognitive and analytical part of the brain is developed but the automated functions of higher and lower order are left behind. We need to train gifted children in developing both sides of the brain. This way different parts of the brain is engaged and gets trained and it will help the child do more complex things in the future. This videos briefly outlines what these executive functions are and why you need them!
