Whole Burnt Sacrifice - No More I | Bishop Sherrod C. Johnson

• Bishop teaches us how this Old Testament scripture “Deuteronomy 33:10” applies to us today (in the New Testament dispensation), which says: "They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar."

Helpful notes: Bishop says: "When the Word of God gets through with us, everything is burned up, everything is consumed."...etc. He says: "And when the Word gets through with you, it won't be no more left of you, then it was that lamb that they put on the altar in the days of old, and burned it to ashes. Amen. And so, that's what it means: 'they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice', You know, that follows the incense—whole burnt sacrifice."

"You know, some people pray, but after they pray, they won't surrender to the Word. Well, your prayer didn't mean much. Amen. Don't mean nothing. After you pray, you've got to offer up your body. See, your prayers are your incense. But here's something else got to follow the incense, got to get some ashes. You got to offer up everything that's not like God. Everything that is within. Everything, all about you, that is not like God, you got to let that thing go." "Just like you would stand and see the best suit that you have burning up, and you have to take it patiently. Amen. Well, that's what you got to do—you've got to just see yourself. Amen, all of yourself. He's got you on the altar now. *He used to have the lambs up there, but he don't have the lambs up there now, he's putting you up there, and going to burn. After you pray, then you've got to surrender, and got to consent to the Word of God" ...etc.

Bishop says: "You know when you got baptized in water, in the name of Jesus Christ, you consented to die, you wasn't dead. Nobody is dead when they goes down in the water, in the name of Jesus Christ, you're not dead. You just simply consented—the Bible says: They that are baptized, are baptized *for the dead, that is, you consent *to die, and you proved it by getting baptized. Now, I can (after you go down in the water in the name of Jesus Christ), I can call your hand now, I had nothing to do with you before, but I can call your hand now. If I see you with cigar, I can say, "brother, you can't smoke that, wasn't you baptized last night? Yes. You can't smoke that." ...etc. "I'm after you now, because you consented, you got in the water. You hadn't got in the water, I'd just walked on by, I might've said you ought to get saved, you ought to get baptized, you ought to do this, you ought to do that, but when you come and get in the water, then look out for me." "Whatever I see you doing that is adding life to you, then I'm going to speak to you about it, because you consented to die. Amen. And because you consented to die, that's what I'm expecting."
