I attempted to try running this generator on NG w/o having any venturi adapter anywhere. Instead, I just swapped out the previous existing Beam Products T50-G propane regulator with a Garretson AK style Natural Gas regular, and using the original 2-port "load block" manufactured by IMPCO.
My thinking was that since the little line on the load block (connected to manifold vacuum behind the carb) worked for signalling the previous propane regulator, it should also work for the lower pressure Garretson AK style.
So somehow it (the new regulator) is being signaled to turn on Ok, but there seems to be a fuel delivery issue. I doesn't seem like it's getting enough fuel.
In the 'Nash fuel' company's NG conversion kit for this engine, they have you swap the 2 big hoses (PVC crankcase and NG regulator output and drill out the nipple in carb air horn elbow to 3/8th's inch. These people's kit also supply's a venturi collar and have you slip that in the carb inlet elbow.
Next 3 steps:
1) Swap hoses, and drill out the nipple closest to the carb inlet to 3/8th's inch.
2) Attempt to adjust the new Garretson AK style regulator.
3) purchase the slip-in venturi from the Nash fuel company.
