I traveled from Tokyo to Ise Grand Shrine, a place often called the spiritual heart of Japan.
Walking through its sacred grounds in winter, I found myself drawn not to the crowds, but to the subtle dialogue between light and shadow.
Low winter sunlight filters through ancient trees, appearing only for a moment before fading away.
Photography allows me to hold onto those fleeting moments—
to freeze light, silence, and time itself.
This film follows a quiet journey through Geku and Naiku,
and ends by the sea at Meoto Iwa, where unmoving rocks stand against powerful waves.
A meditation on impermanence, stillness, and the act of seeing.
