In Tatkon Township, Nay Pyi Taw, resistance forces reportedly carried out mine attacks for two consecutive days against military columns that were conducting operations and burning civilian homes, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, in Tabayin Township, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region, families of 12 detained LPDF student members based in Shwebo District have called for justice and proper legal proceedings following their arrest in connection with a village shooting incident.
Separately, along the Thai–Myanmar border in Myawaddy, the military council has reportedly ordered Karen National Army (KNA) troops stationed in the town to withdraw by Sunday, January 25. Reports also indicate the junta is seeking hundreds of personnel from ceasefire Karen armed groups to reinforce town security.
