The R&D Upstream Deep-Offshore program, in partnership with iXblue among others, is working on new technologies to develop unmanned solutions to perform subsea inspection and survey operations of our facilities. The goal is to reduce the risks at sea for the personnel, to decrease the operational costs (by more than 30%) and to reduce the carbon footprint of our offshore operations (by more than 90%). This video features a surface navigation drone and a subsea drone both monitored from an onshore control center.
