How do you get backfill without spending a penny?
In France, a BF80.3 crusher bucket processes limestone and rocks with a JCB JS240 excavator.
For a project constructing 745 new housing units, the company needed to reconstruct an old agricultural road serving the neighborhoods as well as excavate the ground to install a network to drain rainwater. For this job, they needed a huge amount of backfill material, while the site produced an equally large amount of excavated material. Thankfully, the unearthed material that they typically considered waste, was reused on site. How?
First, they used an MB-S18 screening bucket to separate the fine material, then used the BF80.3 crusher bucket to process the larger rocks to the required particle size. Due to its design, the MB jaw crusher produces high quality material comparable to natural quarry material, but at a lower cost. The material they obtained was reused immediately reused on the drainage network thus avoiding all logistics costs, material disposal and material supply costs.
In short, "you reap what you sow"
