Jerez de la Frontera, la ciudad más poblada y extensa de la provincia de Cádiz, una localidad con una marcada costumbre musical, que tiene muchas tradiciones que son únicas y originarias de la zona, como el flamenco, e instrumentos especiales. En esta oportunidad te contaré la historia de Zambomba de Jerez, Bien de interés cultural de Andalucía.

Jerez de la Frontera, the most populated and extense city in the province of Cádiz, a place with a remarked musical custom, which has lots of traditions which are all of them unique and has his origins in that place, as the Flamenco and special instruments. In this opportunity I´ll tell you the story of the Zambomba de Jerez, a very popular cultural interest of Andalucía.


La Zambomba se trata de una actividad de origen étnico, del folclore tradicional, y se ha tomado la decisión de protegerla a través de su incorporación al Catálogo General del Patrimonio Histórico del territorio Andaluz, por sus especiales características, que representan la esencia más pura de las costumbres autóctonas gaditanas.

The Zambomba describes an activity of etnic origin from the traditional folclore. It has been decided to protect it between the help of his incorporation to the general catalog of historical heritage from the andalusian territory, because of his special characteristics which represent the most pure essence of the gypsy indigenous costums.
