This song was written for the soundtrack of the film Back to the future. It’s got a very ‘pumping’ bassline in the Chorusses and a really nice main groove in the Verses!

In the Verse the main groove got some nice octaves (listen for instance at bar 12; notes F and G) and a really nice syncopated part with the F note over the bars (for instance from bar 11 to 12).

It’s a joy to play these steady eights notes in the Chorusses and the really nice main groove in the Verses.

I play this song on a Fender Jazz bass with roundwound strings. Standard E-A-D-G tuning). No effects used except a bit compression and a pre-amp.
