Comparing the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra displays PWM rates and if they use color dithering.
As expected, both use a 480Hz PWM rate at all brightness levels. The S24 Ultra uses a consistent 480Hz rate while the S25 Ultra uses a dual-pulse rate that has alternating bands between each main 240Hz pulse. This makes the S25 Ultra less comfortable since it doesn't produce a consistent wave.
I would recommend using a OnePlus 13 or Honor Magic 7 Pro instead of either of these phones if you're looking for a 2025 flagship with an OLED screen.
