Let's make 'Baram tteok' with Chef Ms. Seo Yurim!
Ingredients (for 1 serving)
300 g dried rice flour
100 ml water
1 t salt
1 t sugar
5 T sesame oil
400 g canned red beans (or other bean paste)
food coloring (natural, synthetic, etc)
Step 1. Mix dried white rice flour, sugar, salt, and warm water to make dough.
Step 2. Put cotton cloth on a steamer. And place the dough on the cloth and steam it over medium heat for about 25-30 minutes.
Step 3. Simmer the red beans until they are a bit thickened.
Step 4. Once the dough is steamed, begin kneading it several times.
Step 5. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2~3mm.
Step 6. Fill the dough with red bean paste and press it into a tteok mold.
Step 7. Since it can dry, put sesame oil on the finished tteok.
