松尾神社/Matsuo shrine

ご由緒
現在は「松尾神社」と称されているが、「神田神社明細」(明治一三東京都公文書館蔵)によれば、祭神は「宇迦之御魂命」、「松尾稲荷ト称ス」とあり、稲荷神を祀る神社であったこと、および明治六年(一八七三)に神田神社の兼務杜となっていることが記されている。また同記録には「明治八年仝町青物市場中ヨリ再建」と記されており、かつて神田多町に所在した青物市場に関係した人々に信仰されていたこと、またその後も市場関係者が多く居住した神田多町二丁目において、地域の守護神・同業者の守護神として祀られてきたことがうかがえる。記録では明治二五年に(市道整備の影響と推測される) 一時的に神田神社に遷座している。
こうした記録から松尾神社の創建時の所在地や移転については不明な点もあるが、明治・大正期間に社殿が三～四度移転していたようであり、昭和五年(一九三〇)時点には現在地に社殿を構えていて、戦災を免れたと伝えられている。また、近隣の一八稲荷神社が社殿を再建するときに一時御神体を預かっていたこともある。松尾神社維持会は昭和二八年に結成されて現在に至っている。
現在では、「宇迦之御魂命」のほか、「大山昨神」「中津島姫命」が合祀されており、京都の松尾大社と同社名であることから少なからずの縁があるとして、松尾神社維持会は年に一度、松尾大社に詣でている。
明治期には二月の二の午が祭日と記されているが、現在は毎年一〇月中旬から一一月初旬の土曜日の午前に計画され、神田神社から神職を招いて神事が行なわれている。松尾神社維持会をはじめ、近隣町会関係者などが参列する。（「千代田の稲荷」より）

History
Currently, it is called "Matsuo Shrine", but according to the "Kanda Shrine Details" (collected by the Tokyo Metropolitan Archives, Meiji 13), the deities are "Ukanomitama" and "Matsuo Inari". It is written that it was a shrine dedicated to Inari Shrine, and that it became a dual-role shrine of Kanda Shrine in 1873. In addition, the same record states that "Reconstruction of the greenery market in the 8th year of the Meiji era", and it was once worshiped by people related to the greenery market located in Kanda Tacho. It can be seen that in Kanda Tacho 2-chome, where many people lived, it was enshrined as the guardian deity of the area and the guardian deity of the same traders. According to the records, it was temporarily relocated to Kanda Shrine in 1897 (presumably due to the development of city roads).
From these records, there are some unclear points about the location and relocation of Matsuo Shrine when it was built, but it seems that the shrine was relocated three to four times during the Meiji and Taisho eras, as of 1930. It is said that he had a shrine at his current location and was spared the war damage. In addition, when the neighboring Ichihachi Inari Shrine rebuilt the shrine, it once kept the Shintai. The Matsuo Shrine Maintenance Association was formed in 1945 and continues to this day.
Currently, in addition to "Udano Gotamamei", "Oyamakuijin" and "Nakatsushima Himemei" are enshrined, and Matsuo says that there is not a little connection with Matsuo Taisha Shrine in Kyoto because it is the company name. The shrine maintenance association visits Matsuo Taisha once a year.
In the Meiji era, the second noon of February is described as a national holiday, but now it is planned every Saturday morning from mid-October to early January, and a Shinto ritual is held by inviting a priest from Kanda Shrine. ing.
