After 10 months of the Jeep being torn down for the rear stretch, we finally got to test it out. Brokefoot is a trail that we have run a lot of times, so I wanted to take it here to test it out. It has some decent sized rocks, and is usually a moderately difficult trail. On this day it was exceptionally dry which makes this trail much easier and allows you to stick to a line a crawl through most of the technical spots. Since I was also testing the new 5:1 Atlas, I was really excited about dry terrain and the ability to let the gearing do it thing.
Overall the Jeep did amazing. I will eventually do a walkaround to show details of the new setup, but in the meantime, here is a teaser of it in action.
Specs of the current setup:
1997 TJ, 2.5l, AX5, 5:1 Atlas, double triangulated rear 4 link stretched to 103", rear antirock, Front is extended short arm lowers and Metalcloak stock length uppers, 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers, JK Rubicon Dana 44s with factory E lockers and 5:13s, 2" Rock Krawler triple rate springs up front, stock LJ springs in the rear.
