Having been in the area all day, it would've been rude not to hang around for it. 5043 Earl of Mount Edgecumbe would take charge of Vintage Trains 'Shakespeare Express' from Derby.
The day in question was the final day of 'The Greatest Gathering' event in Derby, and after attending the event we would head out to witness the Earl's return journey. Filmed at Willington, 5043 is captured powering away from a signal check as she nears the end of her journey north, making a great end to the weekend.
