ROBBERS (2025) – A Crime Short Film by Harvey Victor

ROBBERS is a minimalist crime short film about hesitation, morality, and the quiet moments before everything changes. Set in a single afternoon, the story follows two would-be robbers caught between desperation and conscience, standing at the edge of a life-altering decision.

This psychological short film explores the tension between fear and choice, capturing the stillness before chaos and the weight of human hesitation. Rather than focusing on the heist itself, ROBBERS reveals the moral thriller unfolding inside the minds of those convincing themselves they can cross a line.

Behind the Scenes:
Shot entirely solo, ROBBERS was written, directed, filmed, lit, and sound-recorded by yours truly, new indie filmmaker of I.A.W.C Productions LLC in Wilmington, NC.

The first shoot’s footage was lost to corruption, forcing a complete reshoot in one afternoon, a creative challenge that defined the film’s minimalist tone.

Edited in DaVinci Resolve and CapCut, the film features original sound design built from scratch to mirror the characters’ internal chaos and moral uncertainty.

Natural-light, NEEWER panel lights, minimalist cinematography emphasizing realism and intimacy

Original score and ambient soundscape designed to heighten psychological tension
